Eggshell Montage

For each of these pieces in this video montage, designer focused on the ambience of the scenes. He wished to create a sense of "flowing", like "running water" in the river, by looping the movement of the objects in a fluent way and built an atmosphere which the audience could immerse their emotions in. For most of the pieces, designer made the shot very wide. Most of the objects were very small and far. Designer wished the audience could have the feeling that they were standing right inside the scene when they were watching it.

Future of Banking

Ms. Wu created this video for Julius Baer to explain the working method of their new digital product for their potential investor. From concepting, storyboard, style frames design to animation, she figured out how to visualize the difference between heavy workflow, digitalization and new era. She added visual metaphors to increase uniqueness. Creative thinking and techniques were utilized to create a video with a clear story narrative and visual attractions. This video showed the beautiful future the new digital product will bring.

The designer sought inspiration from the nature element and colors, bringing a fresh and light aspect to the animation. His main concern was always the quick and objective reading of the information and always focused on the sensory. The elements he have chosen always work according to purpose, without being banal. The choice of colors and shapes strengthens the sense of concept, bringing the air of lightness and softness needed. Japan in Winter

The animation project Japan in Winter is created for the weather forecasting TV channel Russia Culture. The artistic concept of the project is to show paintings by artists from different countries, introducing the viewers of the Russia Culture channel to the best masterpieces of art. This season winter features animated prints by artist Katsushika Hokusai. The most spectacular winter arts of different angles and sizes were selected, the selected prints were rotoscoped and the missing details were completed, based on the selected works.

Digital, conformed by deconstructed UIs that highlight specific features of the app. And Abstract, to describe general functionality. Throughout the video, there's a team creating a product through the app.

Promising Ideas

Hao Li and Mengchao Wu created this animation for Unicef to explain how they've helped young people in remote areas connect to the internet, especially girls. First, the animation compares the difference in the number of boys and girls who have access to the internet in lagging regions, and the problems the inequality has brought to girls in those places. Throughout the film, Hao and Mengchao show how Unicef helped these girls access the internet and what has changed since accessing the internet.
