Power Your Life Differently - OVO Energy

The film encourages us to look at clean energy differently. Rather than your regular utilities company campaign it's approach is one of saving the planet. The commercial opens with a shot of household appliances plugged into the earth – a visual metaphor for how renewable energy can power the world. This is juxtaposed by 'news shows' touting climate denier rhetoric. This film recognises environmental awareness and consciousness as important part of the consumer's mindset.

Red Series

Red Series is a set of three 3D-animation loops that show simplistic fantasy machines, each one made for just one purpose. The devices do not have practical uses, but work only for their own sake. However, these tasks are performed with the utmost precision. Through the short, repetitive processes, a hypnotic state emerges in the head of the observer that is oddly satisfying.

Relation Ship

Initially, the audience witnesses evocative gestural performance animation of the main character, fishbone queen, giving away precious gifts from her own body. Upon entering the virtual reality environment, the viewer is immersed in a living bodyscape. This project is originally designed to be displayed in an installation setting as a stop motion film and 3 virtual reality headsets which provide 3 different immersive experiences inside the main character. The design of puppets and sets are deeply inspired by marine biology with the usage of found pieces of jewelry and objects.

Studio I

This animation was created for STUDIO i, the platform for inclusive culture initiated by two modern art museums in the Netherlands, the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven. The goal of the animation is to call attention to the theme of inclusion, spread awareness and introduce inclusive thinking among museum workers. The design of the animation is clear and bright, and the characters were designed to be inclusive as well.

Gravity Cat

It was build to show the world where gravity changes. To make that possible, we build a cylinder structure made by steel frames that rotates 360 degrees, and we put a wooden made room set inside of it. When it rotates, the room inside of it also rotates and the props fall and swing. That helps to make look like as if the world changes its gravity. The room itself was designed very realistic that looks like real Japanese college student would living in. This gap between realistic scenery and unrealistic movement made the scene even more interesting.

Captain Yasser Alqahtani Logo Reveal

A Logo Reveal for the famous Saudi football player Yasser Alqahtani. This personal brand represents two main aspects which are Yasser as a football player and Luxury products. Therefore to reveal this logo the motion designer needed to be in a neutral position between these two aspects. So he animated the revealing of the logo in an abstract way that represents the elements of it until the whole design was revealed.
