Preludes

From collages to emoji stuffed pipes, "Preludes" combines modern issues with those from T.S. Eliot's 1911 poem of the same name. Starting off in the disoriented and unfamiliar the one-minute piece returns the viewer to a more grounded, recognizable and reassuring place. Recalling Elliot’s own words the animation coaxes readers to “Wipe their hand across their mouth and laugh” at the way life moves forward in its ancient ways despite the changes the physical environment goes through. Guided by its soundtrack "Preludes" is a peek into modern living.

Near Light

Through capturing imagery of floating lights on street after midnight when the busy city was calming down, this video animation aspires to evoke a nostalgic sensibility for Macao, a tranquil peninsula in southern China near Hong Kong. As a reflection and questioning to the prosperous economic development in a city well-known for tourism industry, this work provokes the audiences into the search of the deeper meaning of life and happiness.

Beoplay Portal

It is a campaign to promote its Beoplay Portal headphones. The streamers shared the production to make it go viral. Under the claim Sound that shapes your world, they had to create 5 scenarios alluding to categories of the video game industry. In addition to having a great visual impact, the experience was elevated to a competition for the location of fetish objects hidden in each frame. The team was faced with a multi-scenario design in which the protagonist was the product and the experience of using it.

2021 Kids Channel Ident Promo

Children's imagination is always wonderfully endless. Therefore, in terms of expression, designers also mix various rich creative media and cleverly connect each style and the intersection of imagination and reality with the playful voices of children. They deliberately let the toy plane originally made by children take off in the real environment as if it has come to life, breaking the boundaries between reality and imagination, symbolizing the spirit of children's channels that always makes the imagination come true.

Chowmein Holiday is a dark comedy following two Asian American grandmas, Li Ling and May, on a wild road trip. They embark on a Chowmein Holiday, a dark, comedic, and exhilarating crime spree across California. During this journey, one discovers a new purpose in life, while the other harbors a hidden secret from her partner in crime. The film is inspired by the desire to subvert traditional cinematic stereotypes of elderly women. It reimagines Asian American grandmas not as quiet or docile figures, but as rebellious individuals seeking liberation, thrill, and new meaning in their later years.

Tide and Tradition

The film Maldivian Fishermen features traditional single pole and line fishing of tuna in the Maldives, a sustainable method which is often described as the lifeblood of the island nation. For generations, tuna has been a staple food that supports daily life across the islands. Adopting a storytelling approach with cinematic visuals and immersive sound design, the project captures skilled fishermen working in a coordinated rhythm aboard a traditional Dhonis, bringing the experience to a global stage.
